Pretty final system setup - did I miss something

Hi! Yes yet another system build thread, but I spice mine up with comments for my choices, and I'm really just lookiing for "holes" in the system or better alternatives in the price range.

Usage is gaming, and I don't overclock. I rate stability and low noise very high

AMD64 3500+ Winchester BOXED.
90nm running cool, 939 socket, better price/performance than the 3800+.

MSI K8NSLI-Diamond
Nforce4 chipset with SLI because I like the upgrade path. Diamond version because I like the idea of Bluetooth. I'm choosing MSI for 2 reasons. 1: Last 3 times I went with Asus and got faulty boards every time. 2: MSI has been good to me before and the board scores high in reviews.. I'm considering a DFI board, but they are hard to get in my country.

Point-Of-View GF6800 Ultra PCI-E 256mb
I'm going with the ultra instead of the GT mainly because of future SLI upgrade path. I'd really like to go MSI here also, but they don't have their Ultra PCI-E card out yet. Choosing POV mainly because I have good experiences with non-brand graphic cards, and don't feel like the extra money spend on a name brand card is woth it. Oh, and I'm picking nvidia because they have better drivers and less fuss in most games.

Maxtor SATA 250GB 16mb cache
250GB is better value than the 300GB version in my eyes with the 16mb cache model. I need the space rather than the extra performance from a 10K rpm drive. 16mb cache is nice - but is it woth waiting for SATA2 drive and won't they cost ridiculous amounts of money??

OCZ 1gb kit PC3200 Performance ram.
I've run Kingston memory with all my pc's so far, so I thought it was time to try something new. This kit is amazing value at my usual dealer! I'm going with the performance series because I believe it'll provide more stability than value ram, and I don't need the overclocking ability of the more expensive series.

Coolermaster Wave Master ALU cabinet.
Blue coated alu case that doesn't look silly with horns and glowing eyes. I rate a quality case high because I have been the "value" road before and, well, no ;-)

Chill Innovation 510W v.2 PSU
Danish quality PSU. Serious performance at almost half the price of an equivalent Antec PSU. Rock steady power performance and 510 REAL watts ;-). 120mm fan. Low noise.. I quite like this PSU..
Arctic Cooling Arctic Freezer 64 cpu cooler.
Low weight, low noise, great cooling. My brother just got this and really likes it..

MSI dual-layer DVD burner.
MSI to match the motherboard - no other reason..

Sony SDM-HS74P/B X-Brite 17" TFT monitor.
This is a sort of high end 17" TFT monitor. I like the brightness rating and the 16ms response time here. It's time to put my old Philips 109 CRT monster to rest, and I feel like TFT's are ready for gaming now. I like 17" better than 19" as they either have the same native resolution (which gives the 17" better quality picture in my eyes), or the 19" native resolution is so high that I need a GF9800XXturboUltra card to run games in it. I'm kinda picky with picture quality, and I hear bad things qualitywise about the BenQ 8ms monitor..

From what I've read on the boards, you could just use a decent brand name DDR3200 like Cosair Value which is cheaper.

I would go with with NEC DVD burner since its gotten great reviews.

Also why not go with Dell Hot Dell 20.1 inch LCD. I know Sony charges premimum prices.
Do a search on the Hot Dells forum for the Dell LCD.

As said, the OCZ performance is really good value at my dealer.. It's not more than around 15$ more than the Corsair value pack.. 15$ to go from value to performance ram is worth it 🙂

I might just go with the NEC because of the reviews, I'm just a sucker for "matching" hardware :-D

20 Inchs TFT.. I really think it's too big for me :-S.. Sony may be a little pricey, but they look really nice and I get "special price for you my friend" on them ;-)

Well, if the Sony is lot less than lets say Dell or Samsung 19 inch, then I guess its good then. I've seen Dell 19 inch with DVI go for under 375 easily on the HOT Deals forum

I believe the Corsair 3200 value kit is going for around 119. So if you feel its worth it to you then.

NEC and Pioneer have gotten great reviews by users and review sites, so I would stick with either one.
