Nice. I paid $30 for a pair of EX51LP's at Best Buy when my stock ones finally blew and I needed new ones fast. I find the 51's to be a little hot, and they're an open design, so I'd really like to hear feedback on how the 81's sound, since they're closed.

I have these, and they are awesome. I wanted to get the 51s or 71s for a long time but always worried that they might fall out of my ears while jogging. When 81s came out, I jumped on them right away and have no regrets whatsoever. They stay put, and they sound great.

I think ipodlounge had a great review of them.

I bought these for my gf. They are comfortable.....but they are not worth $50, which is what they retail for.

I have the 71s. Are they supposed to go in the ear canal? Mine keep popping out? If not in, they are just too loose. Furthermore, compared to the Etymotic ER6i, these don't sound anywhere near as good.

the 81's are supposed to sound better than the 71's. and the ear hooks solve the lose ear thing

Some complain it falls apart. After a while, the cable gets thinner, sticky, small holes.

i bought these a while ago. i always buy the over ear type ear phones, these take a lot of getting used to.
im still not sure what i think of them,
the problem i have, is that the over the ear part isnt adjustable, so when they are in my ear, the over the ear part isnt really holding my ear.
it only helps if the phones fall out of my ear to catch themselves.
also the different length cords for each ear piece make for frequent tangled cords.
i wanted a good set of headphones to replace the white ones with my ipod... i havent given up on these yet, but im not convinced. over all for the price i think they are pretty good, id be annoyed if i dropped 50 on em though.
they arent "noise canceling" but they def make the world go away more than the stock ear buds that came with my ipod. even with the sound off i can barely hear people talking to me with these in my ears.... that can be a good thing.

edit-
oh yeah, i forgot the smile i got when i noticed that a song ive heard a hundred times had a subtle cowbell in it... this was the first time i heard that.

while they sound awesome their durability sucks.

The cords are easily torn.

I also suggest keeping the receipt handy as I have had two pair lose sound in one side for no discernable reason.
