Nice, that sata drive even has NCQ. Now only if it had SATAII (the real thing, which actually isn't even out), it would meet the recommended vista crap.
 
i have dealt with one rebate before it was pretty fast. One thing thought it says u need the orignal UPC, but this dirve is OEM will it still work?

TD puts UPC stickers on all of the OEM stuff they sell (or, at least, that I've received).
 
I had a diamondmax 10 300giger sata..died on me and lost all my files, RMAed and sold it for a raptor. Great drive but its also loud. I would rather get a seagate with a 5 year warranty or the newest hitachi DeathStar. Despite the name pun, those japanese makes good hard drives that are faster in seektime and better overall (in temps and sound) than Maxtor.
 
does anyone know of a site that does drive stress testing? I've had a 200gb WD and lost ALL my stuff, now i see this guy lost his stuff on this drive.... doesnt make me feel good.

Mine arrived today.

Edit: Also received a $40 rebate check from Onrebate.com tday that was for an Ultra X-Connect I purchased less than 6 weeks ago!
 
for those that have done the rebate, what did you send in for the UPC, there is one on some insert in the package, there is also a sticker on the anti static bag.

The UPC on the insert from Tiger Direct. It's a TD rebate and needs that UPC. You can send all of them and not go wrong. 😉
