so where can i find pretested chips (need to replace p3 700 on a p3v4x - minor meltdown) online? compuwiz doesn't have their site up. Alternatively, who's a good retailer that can confirm cCo prior to shipping? My old cA2 p3 never made it past 868. Thanks.

Otherwise, I've had good luck with choosing steppings from Dallas Memory. You need to phone them directly to do this, and it makes life vastly easier if you have the Quick Reference sheet from Intel's web site in front of you.
 
I bought my 600Mhz Duron/KT7 combo guaranteed for 1Ghz from OCZ. They also sell overclocked Intel CPU's and combos.

Thanks for the info guys, lots of help - this time i think i'll stick to the alpha only and lose the pelt, condensation has been a pain in the ass.
