Got my new pressure washer yesterday...it's not as nice as the one I originally bought for myself that was stolen, but at half the price I should be able to get most of my money back if I end up in a condo.

Generac 3000psi/2.7gpm model #6024. I bought from pressurewashersdirect.com for $20 more than amazon with prime because of their service/support. Did a good 6+ hours today and it worked like a champ (and I forgot to open the choke even). Doing sidewalks tomorrow and finishing the rest of the fence/house. I'd have done it all today but my neighbor painted his driveway on that side of my house.

I find it pretty relaxing and things looks so much nicer when done. I am debating painting the house even though I am in litigation on it. It will make a nice bachelor pad.

You ran the engine for 6 hours with the choke closed? Remind me not to buy this thing used from you. There's now enough carbon build up in the exhaust to start your own carbon nanotube factory. Please tell me the choke wasn't closed for all 6 hours.

Grab yourself a foam lance attachment and enjoy washing your M3 like this:

It's how I wash my car and yes, it is as fun as it looks.

I doubt it's going to be an issue. Foam lances are great. I have a full detailing arsenal here and even a porter cable...I pay to have it done lately.

Foam Guns/Cannons are awesome. Many that use them also pay extra for inline water filters.

They put down a foam that releases surface dirt and suspends it. Much safer than going directly to the paint with even the best of mitts and soaps and pre-rinsing.

It washes pretty good but if you're going to do a full detail you need to follow it up with a 2 bucket (with grit guards) and wash mitt wash. And maybe even clay bar if you're going to polish and seal.

After foam lancing, I don't see any dirt but it's there you can see it if you wipe the surface to dry it.

Alternatively you can call your foam lance attachment Armstrong and your wash mitt Romney.

Yup, touchless car wash is win. I still have to get an inline filter for mine to stop the water spots. Then I won't have to dry it.

There's a video somewhere of someone rinsing a car with tap water and letting it air dry. You see water spots after it's dry. Then he switches to the filter, rinses it, timelapse video of it air drying and no water spots.
