I ned some suggestions on a Temporary solution for cooling a very hot P4 640, I cannot afford to buy a full water system at the moment.

Options are:
Zalman CNPS9500
Big Typhoon
Mini Aquagagate

Which of these iwill provide the best cooling and allow me to overclock this this CPU?
Also quiet would be preferable.

Mercy!! You want it all. Cheap, quiet and overclock can NOT exist in the same post.

I'll subscribe to this thread to see what J-Y has to say :p It should be good.

If a real solution is offered, i want one too, for my P4 2.8.

I did some research and have been reading up on water cooling anyways...
Both the mini 80 as well as the mini 120 are good solid basic watercooling!
According to what I was reading they are both relatively "noisy.....both over 40dba but I am sure you could lower that with some sort of fan speed controller....in fact I did read something on 2 review sites about a 7volt test...

The mini 120 really shined when when the fan was cranked to its full 12v......also the dba was approx 45...

Then we have Big Typhoon. In benchmarks I have read it is one of the top 5 heatsink around and from the looks of thing I would surmise its temps are very close if not equal to the mini aquagates....

Then we have the zalman 9500.....need I say more..lol..hehehee
Anyways noise is not an issue even cranked all the way up I hear my case fans over the zalman 9500!
As far as cooling goes it holds its own admirably...albeit several reviewers said it was a better heatsink not cranked up to its highest RPM!!
On my computer my idle using the Zalman 9500 is a mere 27c.......

I am happy with the zalman....

Price wise.....
the mini80 is around $80 approx....
the mini120 is around $100 approx....
The Big Typhoon is around $40 to $50
The Zalman 9500 I have seen as low as $60 and as high as $80....

I sure you would not be disappointed in any of these coolers....

Just a note as far as noise goes the mini`s are not set up to passively cool your CPU...

A good passively cooled water unit will run you over $150....

Mind you these are my opinions.....

You have a good!! :)

I'd say big typhoon. Do you need it that badly? I would just save up for the watercooling.

have learnt that the Thermalright XP-90C is the best choice for me.

Does anyone have any suggestions for "quiet" high performance 80 or 92mm fans for this.

Thanx

* what kinda RPM t look for & 80 or 93m!
