I want to see 5Ghz now :p

Pretty sweet OC you have there, especially from 2.8, how did the previous 90nm DC's OC anywhere near, i guess they were a lot worse?

Ohh, is that stable, i don?t personally consider 1M stable ;)? Also what temps, is it throttling (i think you can use an app to check this)?

hehe..looks like im stable @ 4.4ghz 1.45v
fastest i can run superpi is 4.6ghz

If your OC is dual Prime95 stable @ 4.4GHz on air (Is it?), It should be interesting to try my luck on a VapoChill... ;)

EDIT: I see that you are watercooled.... Still very nice if it is dual Prime95 stable...

What motherboard are you using? I'll be getting my 920 shortly..and also, if you get a chance, could you run this to see how it does..

Well, I don't have h20, and it would cost me $100 just to find out how high it would go on air, if I could find a sucker to buy my 820. I think I will just wait.

lol, well some poor shmuck bought my 830..but I already have H20, so it's really costing me nothing to try it out.

Hey I'm new to overclocking and plan on getting a 920 now that their is a cheap
dual core chip that doesnt run at 2.6 million degrees celsius.

I thought increasing the fsb makes the ram run faster also? So what type of
ram would be good for this? I'm guessing the generic (avant is the name I believe)
DDR2 from my local computer shop wouldnt cut it.

You basically increase the fsb until you get the highest fsb you can achieve with stability correct?
Or balance it out with the multiplier to find the best possible performance?

It would be nice If I could easily just get 3.5-3.7 on air...

you are right, increasing the fsb does make the ram run faster. but since overclocking ram usually costs more, there is usually an option in the bios to run a ram divider, which slows the speed of your ram down, allowing for higher overclocks. hope that helps :)

That's an impressive overclock. from what we've seen in other articles(on xbitlabs etc) a Presler at 4.26 ghz should rival a 2.9 ghz X2, so 4.4 ghz? Hmm, maybe 3.1 ghz X2 speed?

Granted, you are on water cooling, but it's still nice.

Once you're finished with that thing, do you think you could run some benchmarks vs the dual-core Opteron OCers in here to see how it stacks up?

Well I have my 920 ordered, hopefuly zipzoomfly is as fast as they usualy are, and I could have it by tuesday at least.

i dont prime, its worthless imo when pcmark is a harder stability test and takes 10 minutes
however, i have been folding all day and playing some css and doing w/e @ the same tim NP @ 4.4ghz 1.45v
