I think we can all agree on this...i know its determined by electoral votes, but you get what I'm saying. I think Donald even knows this.

And the media says Trump is a conspiracy theorist, because he's saying there could be voter fraud and a rigged election.

It will likely be a landslide by popular vote, but electorally the 1980 election likely won't be outdone.

Maybe the biggest since 1984, but not ever. It is looking like it will be a landslide though... Trump has no chance. Imagine how bad it would be if the dems actually had a good candidate that people wanted,it would be severe.

Trump is presently projected to lose big because he's a moron and people don't want to vote for him. There is zero indication that there will be any sort of fraud. Pure conspiracy theory.

doesn't the electoral college make 3rd party candidates impossible to win?

Pretty much, but if someone third party sucks enough off overall electoral college votes that no one had enough, it would turn into a Congressional matter. I really do not see that happening, he would have to even qualify to get on enough ballots in multiple states this late it probably would not skew it that badly.

I figured Trump would win. Statistically it is very unlikely for the democrats to win 3 terms in a row. The race was really in the Republican convention. I bet the Democrats regret messing up the republican party so badly now eh. That would be typical of Democrats to take the status quo for-granted.

1980? My folks used to drive around with this bumper sticker on their cars in the early 1970s.

This doesn't take into account the long ongoing decay of the republican coalition, and the utter lack of meaningful efforts to expand that coalition. Republicans will be shut out of the whitehouse until they figure this out, which is a tall task since few groups wish to share the same tent with the racists and bigots that will reside under the same tent.

Statistically it isn't unlikely at all for the Democrats (or the Republicans) to win three terms in a row. This is basically just people looking at infrequent events and selectively grabbing data to fit a pattern they wanted to see.

Wait just one hot second...

I was informed by a highly esteemed member of this forum that Trump had "vaporized" Hilary's lead and was sure to take the presidency this election, much to the chagrin of the "cuckold" opponents of The Donald.

Was I misinformed????

The only thing that has been vaporized is the gray matter that used to be between Speedy's ears.

There have been some pretty huge landslides in history. I think it will be closer to 1992 than 1984, but it will still be a decisive win for Clinton unless the next Wikileaks happening is truly damning (and I doubt it will be).

For demographic reasons it's probably not possible to have a 1984-style landslide election for President anymore. That being said, I predict a greater margin of victory than any election in the last 25 years or so. It's remarkable that Hillary seems to have firewalled traditional swing states like Pennsylvania, and is beating Trump even in places like Georgia. Is she going to win, say, Oklahoma? No. She may well win just about every state that isn't impossibly slanted against her, however.
