The Democrats and Republicans fight on this BBS like a couple of buzzards battling it out for dibs on a festering opossum carcus. You guys stab, lurch, yell, belittle, and attack your opponents while driving a flag in the ground for Father Bush or Father Gore.

But what if your candidate (be it Gore or Bush) doesn't get elected? Will there be even more flame wars once the election results are announced? I can just see it now, the winners rubbing it in and beating their chests while the losers whine and pout about low voter turn outs and scream "Well it's not fair!"

Will any your lives change THAT dramatically if either one of them is elected?

heck, I can't even vote for Jesse Ventura, you know how I feel...

anyway, In My Very Opinion, it doesn't really matter which one is elected, not like I will make more money, less crime on the street, Falling oil prices, and a skyrocketed Nasdaq.

It makes very little difference. Between the separation of powers and the fact that the neither of them would make a good president, who wins is mostly irrelevant.

It doesnt matter who gets voted, the government will allways betray their promises. You will allways be unhappy with it in some way.

Being in the Air Force, I will have to obey the orders of whoever is president so I guess I really don't care.

Us die hards,I suspect will gloat if our candidate wins,or lurk and sulk if our candidate loses.

If Bush wins, how long before Rush Limburgerbreath runs out of things to talk about and closes his show?

We wouldn't be that lucky.:(

I dunno, I thought about canada...but...lol, j/k.

I dunno, I'm just worried about separation of powers becoming obscelete. If we have a Senate Majority of Republicans and a Republican President doncha' think it might get a bit one sided...?! :Q

It won't matter one way or the other. The economy is headed in to a recession (actually, it's already started) and it's going to get bad no matter who is in the White House.

<< If Bush wins, how long before Rush Limburgerbreath runs out of things to talk about and closes his show? >>

Just substitute "Republicans" for "Bush" and all you did was repeat the question that was asked in 1994 before the Congressional elections. Funny, it's 6 years later, and he's still talking.

Well, he'll take his gun collection, make a little fort out of the couches in the back of his store, hide in the fort with his guns and a cell phone, calling in death threats to the white house!

NFS4,

Lest you continue to be mis-informed, I'm not a Bush backer, I am a Bore opponent. Anything is preferable to a socialist.

I shant vote, as I don't live in the US but the general concensus over here seems to be that Gore would be the better candidate. Don't ask me why, American politics is not exactly my strong point.

off topic: I notice that as I write this, NFS4 is on 9999 posts. I expect he knows this as well...:)

Limbaugh gained his largest market share while Bush Senior, a Republican was in office. You keep acting like a Liberal and claim you are not. A Liberal never can get enough facts to make a good argument, so personal attacks are his only way to make a point.

I've been discussing Politics since the best half of you ran down your momma's leg.:Q

Many things have changed in the last 30 years. Hopefully you will not need live through the rough times of the past. Vietnam, Water Gate, 14% inflation, 21% prime rates, Communism! You young guys should go around shaking anyones hand that is old enough to be your parent, get on your knees, and kiss their hand and say THANKYOU!

Look around you. It did not happen by accident, the good or the bad!

zippy

We've never had a Republican President and Congress. At least since the 60s. Several times we've had a Democrat President and one or both houses in the Democrat's pocket. Why not try it? The Republicans are their own worst enemy in any case!;)

Red Dawn
I still keep asking what specifically has Clinton done...and have yet to get an answer.

As the first order of business upon President Bush's election, I'd like to see Al Gore tried and convicted of illegitimate fund raising. He won't have Janet Reno to save his sorry ass then. Muahahahahahaha ;)

If we don't get the marraige tax repealed because Gore gets elected again, will I be pissed? Oh no, I just love dropping hundreds of extra dollars per year in the pockets of you lazy Democrat welfare worms.

If we can't at least get started on privatizing Social Security because of Gore, will I fume for another 4 years? Sh!t no, it pleases me to death that mofo government workers don't have to pay into that abortion of a failing government program while my employer and I have to contribute to it even as it heads down the toilet!

And at least there's a chance of getting a sizable tax cut with Bush. We got zero chance with Gore. But hell, who needs the fvckin money anyway...

Ornery,

Now that you mention it, I guess I forgot all about the joy I feel each quarter when I sit down to write a check to the IRS for 40% of what I busted my ass to earn. I'd sure hate to see that level of fun reduced.

YES, elect Gore!

No and that's the point. We need to elect some folk who will dramatically change our lives for the better. Albert and Shrub ain't it.
