I guess the stupid just never ends, does it?

"“You know, if you go out and you want to buy groceries, you need a picture on a card, you need ID. You go out and you want to buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture,”"

I would call him Forrest Gump trump but that would be a big disservice to Forrest Gump.

effing moron.

The only time I had to show my ID to buy anything were when purchasing booze and firearms.

This reminds me a little of a situation in the UK a few years ago about the topic of affordability of various things for the average person, and prominent politicians were asked by the press how much they spent for their family on average on groceries each week. IIRC the leaders of the Labour and Conservative parties were obviously caught out by the question and were trying to act like they had a clue, and were coming out with figures the likes of which might have been accurate in the 80s or 90s :)

I was considering starting a "Trump is painfully stupid" thread, with this gem:

You know, I think there may have been a similar thread (to your suggestion), done awhile back.

That covers it, except it also applies with cigarettes. And one other thing which was quite unexpectedly annoying: Sudafed.

I'm getting more and more incensed at the Disgusting Slug's ridiculous lies.

Sumbitch probably never had to drive himself anywhere, and $4/gallon means nothing to him. I remember when I first bought my original Honda in 1979. My gasoline bill went down almost 50% / per month.

That ranks right up there with Romney not knowing what a dougnut looks like. Another case of a very rich aristocrat taking a botched stab at what the peasants go through in their measly lives.

Isn't that the truth. I can't imagine that Trump has EVER bought groceries. Never a truer example of "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt."

Who’s more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?

Its sad the number of people who find this kind of thing funny. Bad for the country

Its ok to quote fiction when its apropos

Saw a clip about this last night. Weird thing to say.
Either:
He’s never been to a grocery store
Or
A guy said it to Trump who frequently buys large quantities of Sudafed because he attends Trump rallies and he’s from FL
Or
He’s trying to say using food stamps requires an ID. Which if that’s the point I’m all for automatically enrolling food stamp recipients to vote and allowing the issued ID be used for voting.

Kinda Mitt Romney-esque.

Old rich white dudes are immensely out of touch with the basics of day to day life and this particular one hasn't done anything for himself in decades.

except I know people on SNAP, (food stamps) and every time I take either to get groceries they don't have to show IDs.
