he's a big fan of "bringing them to justice" it seems.

About time he's brought to justice.

Thats something I would maybe say while multiplaying Rise of Nations and I would just have to create more farms to replace the troops. Thats only if I were too lazy to explore the rest of the map and find the units that were left. :p

Yea hopfully when some mom or dad gets a call saying their son/daughter was killed in an ambush they'll add in that they were encouraged by our great leader.

We were pretty determined to stay in Viet Nam too.

I wonder if Barbara Bush ever read Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby to Georgie when he was young.

You are such a weenie. WTF kind of attitude is that? You have no idea what you are talking about. If you think you can argue with me bring it on.

Now that this has had a minute to rest, I will stick a fork in it. The above is known as flame bait. In this instance I made a rather transparent statement (BTW which I would not normally make at all). If I had let it stand, ncircle may or may not have bit, but many would. Why? It's inflammatory of course. If I want to start a fight, a few of these here and there ought to do it. You all have seen it before. People say things in a particular way to get them riled. It makes them feel better. So it is with Bush. Standing thousands of miles away protected by hordes of Secret Service agents, he says "bring it on". Translated. Go ahead, shoot at our soldiers, I dare you. Well, someone just might take him up on it. Why should Bush restrain his hot head? It makes him feel better. So someone gets shot. They signed up for it now didnt they? The best thing Bush could possibly do is STFU. If he could make some comparitively mild but firm statement as to our commitment, then that would have been ok. He can't. Completely foreign to his nature, as evidenced by his other provocative statements and actions. The man ought to know when to just be quiet.

Exactly. I used to think of Bush-lite as a cowboy, but he's too cowardly for that. He's just another arrogant, over-indulged rich boy who watched too many cowboy movies. It takes real gall to sit on his butt in the Oval Office, surrounded by the world's most elaborate personal security machine, and challenge murderous zealots half a world away to take shots at other people's sons and daughters.

And he's the one who tarred his detractors by claiming they weren't supporting our troops. Bush is the hypocrisy poster boy.

What is the matter Kcg no one even gave your first comment a notice so you thought I will make another one and see if someone pays attention to me then. Pretty transparant I think.

No - just doing some searching on the subject and want this thread to stay on my "today" list ;) :D

I see you "noticed" it;) Care to rebuff it? With the amount of trash talk and such in this thread I hardly think I am the transparent one;)

i dont see a problem with what bush said, first of all i dont think many of the saddam-loyalists running around the iraqi desert have television to watch the president make these comments, and who would translate it for them not the people in control of IRaq. ANd about this draft dogging stuff, clinton and gore did the same only worse and no one had a problem with it, but we get a president who uses our military instead of down sizing it and people get flusterd. no matter what we would have done or will do(short of killing them all) the terrorists have "kill americans" in their minds, they want us to back down so bush is just reconfirming that we won't.

And at least he's actually doing what he said he would by staying in Iraq until order is restored, you people are so ungratefull for what we as Americans have, and its very selfish not to help people we can, while slowing anti-americans down at the same time.

Pure tripe. This has nothing to do with this thread, with the recklessness of Bush's comments, with one's position on Iraq, with appreciating the greatness of this country, or anything else. I get so tired of you Bush apologists slandering anyone who dares to suggest that Bush-lite is anything less than the second coming. Hard though this may be to comprehend, it is possible to simultaneously love this country and support the troops while still disagreeing with Bush. He's a human being. He is fallible. Get over it.

By the way, if memory serves, Al Gore actually served during the Vietnam war. Don't believe he was in a combat role, but I do seem to remember he was in that region.

I put this up earlier under CAGE MATCH
and got a bunch of 'Macho, yeah lets go Bush' tags.

Don't you think it's ridiculous for an 'Aledged' World Leader to taunt the rest of the world,
which dislikes us enough already - and invite all terrorist groups to take a shot at us,
further placing our country, and out troops overseas in danger ?

The arrogance and stupidity of the Bushies knows no limits.

If we are talking the Administration, I agree with the former. The latter though (Bush himself not included) no. That is what makes them dangerous. Wolfie is quite intelligent, but so were a great many tyrants and tyrant wannabees. Saddam was stupid, but ruthless towards attaining his goals of his own personal security and power within Iraq, which is why he was no longer a danger to the US. He got bit in Kuwait, and really did not want to have that all over. Saddam's ego (remarkably like Bush) made him drag his heels in relinquishing power to the US and UN, which in essence we demanded. More subtle forms of pressure than war could have worked. Bush never used a tool smaller than a sledgehammer apparently, and this was reflected in his "diplomatic"style. The neocon sharks were able to capitalize on his shortcomings to promote their agenda, which Bush never objected to anyway. Wolfie and Rummy will continue to be a threat, in part because a great many Americans are more worried about getting gas for their SUV than what is right or wrong.
