Yea Kerry is real cool, he's got such a great personality and sense of humor, and such great experience in both the military and government. Maybe he'll be cool and give us tax breaks by putting his and his wife's fortune into the budget.

I work next door to a hotel that is the usual stopping point for these political bigwigs-in fact John Edwards is appearing there today. I think what the original poster meant by being both excited and angry about the Bush visit is that these visits greatly disrupt the local routine. For example, when they visit here the parking garage where I park is sealed down. You also cannot even drive within a block of the building. Frankly, its a PIA when these politicos visit here.

At least you don't have to deal with the RNC (unless you work in the city, I see you're in Connecticut). My office is just a few blocks from MSG and it's going to totally shut down the area for a week.

The best thing to do would be to set off a ton of loud firecrackers , etc, on your property. If they are illegal in your state, the worst you could get is a few fines or slaps on the wrist, but it would make a lot of noise.s

Blast the Fahrenheit 911 soundtrack out of your house :D
I may not like President Bush, but I abhor Michael Moore.

I won't refer to him as my president...
Like it or not, he's the President of America, and I assume you're American, so he's your President.

Hrm... Burn a massive lower-case t in your front yard...

That ought to get that "god-inspired" Presidents attention. If people start to approach your property, light lots of fireworks and exersize your right to HOLD a gun. (dont shoot it!).

How deep in your backyard is he going to be?

I suggest at least 4 feet, so the neighborhood dogs don't dig him back up!
