Prescription drug commercials that don't say what it's for

Anyone else hate those?
I keep seeing drug commercials where they don't say anything about what the drug is for.
They always end with "Ask your doctor if <drugname> is right for you".
Obviously everyone knows what drugs like Viagra are for. But what about all the others.
I can just see asking my doctor if some anti-depressant is right for my heartburn.

Yeah, those drive me freakin batty.

And what's worse, my 3 year old son keeps asking for these medicines when he sees these commercials now.

It's the law to withhold the purpose of the medicine without stating the possible side effects and such, IIRC.

I've never had any problem understanding what the pills are for. Maybe I haven't seen the commercials you are reffering to.

: ) Amanda

There were quite a few of them for anti-depressants but all they showed was a bunch of happy people running around. They never actually said what the drugs were supposed to be treating.

The best part are the side effect warnings.

"May cause rectal bleeding"

Err...sounds worse than the original problem I had.
