Prescription antibiotics free from Publix stores and others

Beginning today (Aug 6), Publix Super Markets is offering a free prescription drug program at its 684 Publix Pharmacies for the following oral antibiotics

Amoxicillin
Cephalexin
Sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim (SMZ-TMP)
Ciprofloxacin (excluding ciprofloxacin XR)
Penicillin VK
Ampicillin and
Erythromycin (excluding Ery-Tab)
Doxycycline Hyclate (capsules only)

New or current customers simply need to provide their Publix pharmacist with their prescription, up to a 14-day supply, and it will be filled at no charge.

I saw this again in our Publix ad today and just thought I would bump it as a reminder.

They have added Doxycycline Hyclate (capsules only) to the list of free antibiotics.

FYI, The Hannaford supermarket chain in New England has the same free deal for antibiotics, even the formerly wicked expensive Augmentin 875.

Add Meijer in MI, IN, IL, OH, KY and Big Y in CT and MA to the list of stores with free antibiotics through their pharmacies.
