I'm involved in testing a computer at work, its a SFF and the CPU temperature does not drop below 60degrees C.

Quite worried about this as the only cooling consists of a small 40mm thermally controlled
fan - the stock intel cooler has been replaced with a custom large heatsink.

I've never needed to know Prescott death temps, but that seems high. A couple of ideas:

If there's a free slot bracket you can try a slot cooler

If there's a free 5.25" drive bay cyberguys.com has a cooler that goes there
 
I think this computer that was supplied as a test system "for testing" deserves to go back to the company it came from.

Its pretty clear to me now that they are trying to sell us substandard / poorly designed parts.
