Presario R3000 wireless config

Hi all,

I recentlly got a d-link di-624 to use with a desktop i already had and my compaq presario R3000. The problem is that i can get the lappy to see the wireless network, connect, but i can't surf the web on any browers (IE, mozilla). The desktop, which is also connected wirelesslly works perfectlly, but its using a USB d-link antena that setup almost painlesslly. All LAN functions on the router are working with both computers. The lappy has sort of an off brank card. Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN is the device name in the manager.

make sure the default gateway and DNS settings are correct on the R3000.... (don't know why they wouldn't be, but could be a problem)
