Clean cpu and heat sink with goo-gone and isopropyl alcohol? And lint free cloth... Or... Something else?

My standard tools there: Alcohol, paper towel or paper tissue. Maybe q-tips too. Nothing more really.

i usually just use kitchen paper towel and iso alcohol.

You can blow off any lint if it gets deposited.

The old tim should flake off, and the iso will take care of the rest.

I use coffee filters + 91% isopropyl alcohol. If you can find 99%, even better. Just remember not to touch the cleaned surface with your fingers or any other part of your skin. If you do, clean it again.
