PrePaid iPhone?

Has anyone successfully set up a prepaid iPhone? I am considering getting an iPhone but I would mainly use it for internet and text messaging and would rather not get locked into a contract. I did some searching around the net, but couldn't find a definitive answer. Thanks.

GoPhone is slightly more expensive, but I'd take it over a 2-year contract.

ATT CEO has confirmed that. It'll happen. Probably fall/winter announcement.
