Premium Canned Cat Food

Shame

Platinum Member
I'm looking to find a new high quality premium canned cat food for my pair of Burmese.

I've been feeding them this, but it is rather expensive ($1.39 5.5oz at Petsmart B&M), and has meat-by-products.

I tried a couple cans of this this week, but the little one just heaves it up.

And am now considering this. Is this brand (Nature's Recipe) any good?

They like chicken in chunks, and it's gotta have gravy... Any suggestions?

Edit: I saw a thread a couple of months back on premium cat food, but couldn't find it again. 🙁

All wet food is extremely unhealthy for cats. Either cut open a bag of cheapo dry food or let them outside to decimate the local bird and small mammal population for their sustenance.

Not to mention it reeks.

I've never heard this before. What's your basis for saying that?

Don't know how it is for cats, but for dogs an all "wet" diet will destroy their teeth.

I've heard that a wet/dry mix is ideal, and yes, dry food does help remove plaque from teeth.

I've never heard this either.

They have all-they can-eat dry food as well, and I only feed them one 5.5 oz can between the two of them in the evening. And no, they aren't fat...

Rots their teeth and they'll tend to gain more weight over time. Plus it reeks, is messy, and is generally a PITA. Our cats have lived on nothing but dry food for all of their 12+ years.
