Anyone running an AMD rig with a Premier 300w power supply? The FS for the black AlienWare case has one and I want to know if it is usable with the Thunderbird rig I will be building.

Thanks!

Do you think I'll have problems if I order a non-recommended supply? I ordered the Antec PP-303 for my friend, and it only gets recommended up to 1 GHZ while I'll be using a 1.2 GHz. Does anybody use a non-recommended supply?

gittyup: yes I did, but if someone had a system running with that PSU, I'd take that as a recommendation..

I think it is merely a recommendation. I would venture to say that an Antec would work fine..

Thanks! Hope your right.
I personally wouldn't care if it were my computer, but since I'm building for a friend who's not into this kind of stuff, I don't want him having issues...

In looking at the AMD recommended list, the PP303X is only recomended up to Athlon 1000.
