Premature Babies Feel Pain

check out drudgereport. study finds premature infants delivered as early as 25 weeks from the point of conception do in fact feel pain. i'm sure such a study will be summarily dismissed by NARAL, Planned Parenthood, and any other organization that feels late term abortions (why not call it "skull crushing, brain sucking surgery?") are every woman's God-given right?

 
Studies have shown that plants feel pain too.

Why not call gall bladder removal "stomach slashing, organ sucking surgery?"
 
That's 6 months into a pregnancy. I can't imagine anyone would doubt that. Also gives credence, apparently, to those who say fetuses feel no pain in the 1st trimester which would, seemingly, boost supporters' claims that abortions thru the 1st trimester should have no restrictions on them.

Feel pain? Their brain is not functioning it's stimulus response.
 
Most abortions occur within 3 or 4 weeks of pregnancy.. who would wait 25 weeks? If you don't like abortion, don't do it.

QFT! Six months into a pregnancy is well past when a huge majority of abortions take place.

Plants will move away from noxious stimuli as well. I guess that means that we have to stop cutting down trees.

There is a difference between sensing damage, and 'feeling' pain. Feeling requires cognition, the lack of which in 6-month-old fetuses nobody can dispute.

Obviously, 25 weeks covers all abortions, so all abortions are causing pain, which the featus knows, so we should just ban all abortions.

Who waits 25 weeks for an abortion? I suppose the OP then fully supports sex ed, free contraception and the morning after pill - to avoid the fetus feeling pain...
 
You know, I'd be for making late-term abortions totally illegal except in life threatening situations (aren't they already illegal in a lot of cases?) if it meant early abortions would be totally legal. It would be win-win, apparently.
 
I am all for late term abortions. I can think of a few 30th or 40th-trimester abortions that would be beneficial to society.

I think that is what the majority of Americans beleive 😉 but SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH no one wants moderation!

I would also thikn an abortion at such a late stage would be a risk for a lady as well....
An abortion that late is just ridiculously stupid...

Whatever. That just means I won't have an abortion 😉
