The Iron Chef and her wife both have buns in their ovens.

Cat Cora, star of Food Network's "Iron Chef America," announced Tuesday that she was 4-1/2 months pregnant with a boy.

But this is where it gets interesting.

Cora's partner Jennifer, with whom she already has two sons, is also pregnant, and due in April, three months before Cora.

"Jennifer and I are thrilled to go through the wonderful experience of pregnancy together. We started the in-vitro process 5 years ago," said Cora, who is due in July. "This has been a miracle for us and we'll now have 4 beautiful children."

But we're not done. It gets even more interesting.

Cora is carrying Jennifer's biological child. And their second child, now 23 months old, was conceived using Cora's egg, but carried by Jennifer.

In Jennifer's current pregnancy, both women's embryos were implanted, so they don't know who the biological mother is, and they say they don't plan on doing DNA testing to find out.

The same anonymous sperm donor was used for all four pregnancies, making all four kids biologically related.

And you thought your family life was complicated.

Um, wow. My brain hurts now.

Your brain isn't the only one. Interesting none-the-less. Didn't know that Cat rolled that way.

That's kinda cool actually. :) I didn't know that Cat was gay, but that doesn't change that she's a great chef. Good for her!

But yeah, rather confusing.

If they wanted full biological relativity, they should have used the same person's eggs for all. I guess that might seem unfair though.

Will Cora start cooking some really crazy stuff during Iron Chef episodes now?

AB: Iron Chef Cora is putting pickles into the ice cream maker now, and adding the secret ingredient - Uni.

Not saying she's a bad chef or anything, but of all the Iron Chefs, she seems to lose A LOT on that show. Seems everytime I see a challenger win, they're competing against her.

Edit: I'm sort of right. Her and Morimoto have the 2 worst records

This is disgusting. I'm morally outraged. What a mockery of wholesome family life in America. People like this are destroying the very fabric of our country. Wait till I tell my 2 ex-wives about this.

If she wanted to be preggers, she could have just asked me. Guaranteed I'm cheaper than the doc she used. :)

Wow, I'm rather surprised by those numbers. I haven't seen a lot of episodes with Morimoto but I always assumed he would have a dominant record.

Agreed.

I think that despite losing more than others, just being on the show puts you in pretty good standing. ;)

I haven't even watched it in over a year so I couldn't tell you who the chefs are right now. I did watch "On the Road Again: Spain" with Batalli...that's a great food and travel show. And the Spanish actress? Hooooooooly crap she's amazing.

Bah. I was hoping that Cat Cora and Bobby Flay would have a love child... who would either be the best cook ever or the cockiest person alive :)

Or more likely, both.
