Not sure if this applies here or in the Windows forum.

My router is secured with a password and serves 3 PCs as well as few other things here and there. That is good and all, but apparently the PCs all pick up another 2 or 3 other addresses. Now, I haven't noticed this on any other PCs really (I mainly use mine obviously), but the internet likes to connect to the wrong one. On my PC, I have our network set to preferred, and for some reason, it always defaults to the other one at startup. It is very annoying, and I'd really like it to default to the normal one. How do I change this? And right now for instance, it is connected to my home network, but also displays "connected" next to the other network, even when it isn't (and disconnect doesn't work).

If you go to manage wireless networks, the other wireless networks should be listed. You can delete their settings/entire profile or in their properties there should be an option for connect when available or something. Uncheck it. Move your preferred wireless AP to the number one spot.

Delete every thing and leave only your connection, and use WPA or WPA2.
