In a previous project, I built a stand with legs made by screwing and gluing two pieces of wood together to form a 90 degree angle (think wooden version of angle iron). At the time I had a friend with a full cabinet maker's shop with a table saw, planer, jointer, and other most excellent tools plus his decades of wood working experience. I'm thinking about a new project where similar leg construction would be ideal but I no longer have access to all the tools or to his expertise. Does anyone know of a place to buy pre-fab legs or posts built in a similar design? I have the tools and skills to make everything else the design would require and have it come out decently. But I know I can't fabricate these pieces and have them look any better than crappy. Hard wood would be ideal. Soft wood or plywood acceptable, but no particle board. The legs would be about 36" in length.

I've never seen them prefabbed. But that's a pretty simple piece to build. A bottle of glue and a few clamps would do the trick.
