Predictions on possible CPU bottlenecks for next gen cards

Right now we are mostly bottlenecked by our CPU's. With the supposed specs of the next generation cards, do you think the situation could turn around? If so, what kind of processors do you think would be needed to run a next generation card without a bottleneck. Sorry if this is a stupid question but I was just bored and was wondering.

You'll probably need an A64 2.6+ GHz CPU to power nVidia's next gen SLI system.

Maybe a 2.2GHz AMD will be the minimum?

well when you CPU bound........then its simply time to crank up the res and eye candy till your not. thats the simplest answer.

im sure 16x12 + and lashings of AA and AF will be totally fine on the new cards

well with games such as Doom3 and HL2 when u crank everything up to the max u are not CPU bound...even SLI is not totally CPU bound on those kind of settings. but with G70s in SLI u would definetely require a faster processor
