I'm worried about the vikings because it is the 2nd game of the season and I'm not sold on our corners guarding the best reciever in the game. I think it could go either way but I gave my guys the benefit of the doubt.

The Cowboys have Quincy Carter at qb still and a rookie running back. Same old garbage. They will be 3rd in the NFC east and miss the playoffs.

The Panthers may have gotten to the superbowl last year, but I'm not sold on them either. They never really dominated when I watched them, they just hung in most games.

And yeah, I went out on a limb predicting a win over the Rams.

"i have three words for you...staley, vincent, taylor."

i have three more, "kearse, owens, westbrook"

Ok, you had Westbrook already. He's a good back, but he will NOT be a dominant back, he needs Staley's help. Philly also lost Welbourn. The running game WILL be less effective, as will pass blocking, as you lost a good o-lineman and Staley was your best blocking RB.

Kearse is a questionable call, he has to stay healthy, and if he DOES stay healthy, he needs to get his game back to where it was before his injuries.

Also, Jones is not a complete replacement for Emmons at LB.

Owens is a great pickup, no doubt, you'd better hope everyone was right when they said McNabb never put up huge numbers because of his WR's and not because he throws the ball at receivers' feet.

Overall, the defense WILL be weaker. You can't say Sheppard and Brown can hold it down as well as Vincent and Taylor, that's just ridiculous. The running game won't be BAD, but it will be weaker. Yes, the passing game will improve. Overall, I'd say the team is still very solid, but not as good all around as last year. You made two huge pickups, but too many small losses.

How will Dallas be 3rd in the NFC? They had the #1 defense in the NFL, and it only improved. I would go out on a limb and say they have the best secondary in the league, not to mention solid linebackers from last year, and the d-line improved with the addition of Wiley. Sure, Quincy isn't spectacular, but he improved a lot last year, and hopefully will continue that this year under the guidance of Testaverde. This marks the first time he HASN'T had a new OC and QB coach, so finally he's in a system he's used to. And sure, Julius Jones is a rookie, but RB's dont need as much 'prep time' as some other positions, and frankly anything is an improvement of Hambrick. Dallas will certainly be an improved team over last year, and contend for the top spot in the division.

Washington needs to learn that you can't just toss together a new group of free agents and expect them to work as a team. They did it last year and it didn't work, and it won't work this year. Yea, they got Clinton Portis, but they still don't have a line to block for him, that was their biggest problem last year. you think Ramsey was a problem? Hell no, he's a very solid QB, he just never had any time to throw the ball. I think starting Brunell is a mistake. And if you think Springs can replace Bailey....well, you're dead wrong. Washington will finish 3rd in the division again.

I also like their chances against Dallas in Dallas, but I think they lose that game.
