PrecisionTime and Date Manager (GAIN related question)

Ok, I just started a new job today. The workstation (old PIII Compaq) in my cube has both PrecisionTime and Date Manager on it, and atleast one of them installs GAIN. Can I use SpyBot/AdAware to remove GAIN without affecting these programs? If not, are there any other good free programs to replace Date Manager? I could care less about PrecisionTime.

Oh, this isn't one of those IT departments that reimages every week and is on top of everything. My Compaq is running WinNT that hasn't been patched in years (I'm working on getting upgraded permissions so I can patch it). Thus I really don't think they're going to care if I get rid of PrecisionTime and Date Manager. Now that I think of it, they might not even be standard company programs...some other guy had the computer before me and he may well have installed them.

WTF are you running that crap for anyhow? Christ.

Just run Adaware and blow it all away. Screw PT/DM. I again am confused as to why the hell you need it anyhow?

I don't really need it...it was there when I turned the computer on. I suppose Date Manager could be helpful for remembering appointments, but I think I'm just going to take my assignment book from last school year with me (it covers the summer too).

I guess I'll blow the stuff away tomorrow. They gave me no guidelines about the computer (just told me to go in and set my cube and the computer up) so I guess they can't complain much if I do something they don't like. 🙂
