The computer is an HP Pavilion a6245n. On the motherboard specifications, it says:
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6xx0 with Quad Core technology up to Q6600 (Kentsfield)
Core 2 Duo E6x00 up to E6850 or E6700 (Conroe)
Core 2 Duo E4x00 up to E4400 (Conroe)
Does this mean it will work with ANY Conroe chip (Pentiums and Celerons), or just the Core 2 Duos? Because this is my mom's computer, and she only surfs the web so I figure one of these downgrades would be better for her, and I can sell the Core 2 Duo E6600 that's in there right now
