Pre-zoomed videos

Hello. I have this video play back issue where every time I play anything, say in DivX or in VLC, or just about anything except in Windows Media Player, where the images are pre-zoomed up close. I tried messing with the menu's and everything for both players but the videos are all played with the images still in this pre super zoomed fashion.

I should add that prior to this I had a program [Winpooch] installed where it started messing my system around and had to system restore it. To which this is where I am now at the moment.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea or should I just resort to a full blown system restore?
