This is KINDA a repost, but...

Best Buy has that pre-order deal going on Ocean's 11. Buy it for $20 and get a $10 digital coupon after it ships. Well, they lowered their online price to $15 for the movie now, so it ends up being $5 after the digital coupon rebate. SAVE a copy of the pre-order webpage for your records, in case they don't give you the coupon. It explicitly says that any order before Midnight on May 6th qualifies.

It will show up as $15 when you put it in your cart..
$9 for me after tax and shipping and order costs...

FYI:

1. It won't let me pre-order for store pickup. :(
2. The digital coupon will only be good for about 20 days and has to be used online.

Looks to me like the price went back to $19.99, or maybe I'm at the wrong place. I'm at this page. Excellent movie though, it's still worth $20.

Edit: My mistake, the $5.00 off shows up when you add it to your cart.

Be careful with this one. They no longer say that there is a $10 digital gift certificate with this movie. They usually pull the offer right before the movie becomes availible.

Were do you get the digital coupon? Thanks

Edit: Ok, worked for me ($19 total), Go in at Movies and the coupon offer is there. Thanks!!
Will use the coupon toward another DVD!! Thanks again!! Nice deal! I like on line deals.
Maybe if the coupon comes May 10th, I can use it towards LOTR and get another $10 coupon 8-6-02!
Wow!

Oooh! My bad! Check it out here

From their disclaimer it says that you have until May 6th to qualify for this deal. I think they pulled the front ad since the price dropped down to $15.00..... sneaky sneaky....

Can someone tell me what versions are available? It appears unclear to me on their website. I'd like
to get the widescreen edition, if available. Thanks.

So the $10gc is added automagically right? I dont want to order and see that somehow i didnt follow the rules or something...

Anyway, any guesses on what this will cost tuesday? I'd rather pick it up if its gonna take a week just to save 2 bucks... ;)

Edit:
According to this thread then the BB ad says Oceans 11's price this week is "hot price". I hate when stores sucker you in like that. So i just ordered it because my bet is that "Hot Price" is about $16.99 or something...

Check here notice the differences in the 2 DVD's listed (Ws and P&S). Ws is of course Wide Screen, and P&S is of course Pan and Scan. Anyhow if you don't get the one you want, if you have a local Best Buy in your area, you can always take it there and exchange it.

Actually the "Hot Price" usually matches the online price so I would expect it to be $15.99 in store. Still if you get that $10 GC you save quite a bit on the next purchase, so I figure you should win in the end.

Good find, I got Oceans 11 and The Others both for about $20, not too bad. :) Thanks for the post, I almost got Shallow Hal too, but they wanted $25 for that one. :(

I got a question about this...

Can I use the $10 GC from Ocean's 11 and pre-order Blackhawk Down and get another $10GC and pre-order LOTR with that and get another $10GC?

ok, this is a dumb question...

should i get the pan and scan or the wide screen version? whats the difference?

My dvd player has both tv size and wide screen settings so does that matter?

Get the widescrren if you want widescreen and PnS if you want PnS. It's a matter of taste, however most reasonable people will agree that PnS is a format that mangles the artistics intentions of a film director. Personally, I'd support bookburning before PnS.

Widescreen will have the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen and the P&S is the "edited to fit your screen." Personally I prefer widescreen.

Anyone get their $10 "digital coupon?" I saw over at f@twallet that people got theirs on Friday. Just checking, because I have not received one yet. I better have it on Monday, or it's back to pounding BestBuy.com with e-mail and phone complaints like I had to on the DDR RAM...

More trouble than it's worth sometimes... And I originated this deal. Sorry to everyone who's in the same boat as me...

Received my $10 coupon and used it to pre-order The Others - their site says $19.99 but when you add it to your cart it comes up $2 cheaper at $17.99 (or at least it did for me). Pretty good with a MSRP of $29.99. Total was around $12 shipped plus another $5 coupon afterwards.

Haven't gotten mine either yet.

For those of you who did get it, who does it say the sender is? what's the subject? maybe outlook filtered it into my junk email folder or something...
