Even if this was as buggy or pooly optimised as GTA IV I'd still be buying it. You know that it's still going to look and play a lot better than any of the console versions.

Last good game i pre-ordered was BF3.Didn't regret it one bit but it seems there's just to many games being rushed out the door to even consider a pre-order these days.

Hell i think even buying the game to soon is a issue itself,i wouldn't mind some patches or gpu driver updates prior to rushing to buy this.A month at least.

Pre-ordered it on ps3 ( last game I ever pre-ordered was killzone 3) and was completely disappointed. San andreas was/is still wayyyy better. So overhyped and cant blv people are still waiting for 'heists' !!??!! I will consider it only when there are decent mods by community and the price is right.

Imo any game that's delayed for any reason usually turns out bad. In gtaV I am more unsure.

Lol...not even close. You'd rather them release every game in beta and charge you $60 while missing half the content? Some games NEED more time. Not specifically this one, but in general.

Never preorder. It only encourages them to make worse, less complete games.
Waiting in line to buy a game on launch day that hasn't been reviewed by an independent entity (that doesn't have a rubberstamp for "9/10!" on reserve for any advertisers), especially when review embargoes are in effect, isn't wise either. I am so glad I didn't pre-order Rome 2: Total War, that game is garbage.

As I said I have no problem pre-ordering games I know I'll like anyway. It's not encouraging anything. That's a falsehood.

I wanted to wait for the PC version, but broke down and got the PS4 bundle on Black Friday. Finished it over the Christmas break. Glad I did seeing it was delayed until March.

And I wouldn't preorder. Wait for others to beta test it... :)

What is you take on it, buy or no? Hell I thought it was out already.... Shows how closely I'm watching. :\

Definitely a buy, but just wait until it's released in case it's as buggy as IV on PC. I think it'll be fine though, as it's pretty much the IV engine cranked up.

I can understand someone not wanting to be locked in with a digital pre-order and being burned by games that were borderline broken for months. This is why I always pre-order physical copies locally if I pre-order at all and sometimes I go for special or collectors editions. If there are major problems I can get my $5 back.

GTA 4 was ported by a 3rd party team to the PC and was a pretty poor effort initially. The cpu usage was astronomical and caused lots of slowdowns and poor performance. Gta5 is being done by rockstar themselves and it uses the same engine max Payne 3 used which runs very well across a variety of systems. I expect heavier cpu requirements than max Payne 3 just due to the AI and larger environments.

OF course I'd rather release the game in Beta.
Did you see how great AC Unity was?
Some games just don't need more time.

I haven't played it. I planned to but I went on vacation right after release and didn't want to spend money on a game I wouldn't play. I will get it when I finish FarCry 4 maybe, haven't decided. I may get it on ps4 though if I can find it used I don't know.
