Anybody have a comprehensive list of retailer's offers for pre-ordering GTA IV?

I know Bestbuy is giving away a free GTA poster when you pre-order with them.
 
This is what I found on Amazon:

Hmm, for such a hyped up title I would have thought the pre-order offers would be a little more enticing. A license plate, or a poster? Kind of lame if you ask me.

I would have preferred a $10 GC, or a discounted MS points card or something.

This game will be a best seller without offering any incentives. Why would they need to offer anything else?

To get people to buy it from their store rather than someone else's? It's happened with SSBB and other high profile games, and I always figured that was the rationale.

Do retailers profit much from game sales?
 
I know I paid 42 or 46 dollars for it on liongames.com back in July or August lol

doubt that deal still exists

Happened with Vegas 2. Happened with Super Mario Galaxy. Happened with Call of Duty 4. You're exactly right - they want you to buy it at THEIR store.
 
So, I pre-ordered this from my local shop and I didn't get any sort of code at the time of reserving it. Was I supposed to?

No clue, but you can just register online for the GTA4 sweepstakes.
 
Frankly I don't really see the point of preordering anymore. The "incentives" they usually give, an XXL tshirt, a crappy poster, or something else are all lame. And considering it's not hard to find games there's no need to preorder. And especially off the Internet when you have to wait like an extra day. Although EB has always been pretty good of getting games delivered on release date.
 
Last I saw, Target will give you a GTA4 skin for your PS3 or 360 if you put $10 down to reserve a copy.

Dude you're in california. Our best bet is Fry's. Online they had it for 51.99 preorder it with the codes for gamer pics. They still have the gamerpics offer but its back to 59.99

Its almost friday too so they'll likely have something about GTA4 in the ads. I'm hoping for them to have it on sale so I can get best buy to price match it.

I know recently they sold Vegas 2 for the xbox 360 for only 40 bucks when it first came out.

I guess you can sorta count nba ballers in today's ad. Its 8 bucks cheaper. But I'm not sure if it is that popular even when you compare it to Vegas 2, let alone compare it to GTA 4

I also ordered from Amazon. Still trying to decide where to put my plate, will most likely make it onto the wall in my home office. :beer:
