Food Fite was amazing, so simple and stupid, but so fun. I also likes Tard Bash & STUDZ. Tard Bash was very tasteless and wrong, but I was 14 and didn't know any better :)

to whoever said Syncronet was a good bbs proggy *shudder* ugly WWiV clone, the dude who made it was wild. I was on his BBS. I once accused him of just modding WWiV, he blew up and deleted my account he he he.

Oblivion/2 FTW!

I ran a BBS in 88+ changed BBS software everydamn time something new came out

WWiV
TAG
Telguard
Monarch/2
Celerity (first version 1.4?)
Searchlight
PCBoard
Vision/2
Revolution
My final BBS was ran on OBV/2, which I stuck with for about a year.

I still remember being 6 (1981) and my dad trying to install the software to connect to and use Compuserve. 300 baud Hayes modem. He was a computer expert and then some back then. But watching him try to figure out how to configure the software to get online was something else. If things were still that complex today, the internet would be nothing but uber geeks. Plug In Play? Install Wizards? hahah nope...

There was a few local BBS's that visited religiously every mourning to play LORD. This was around 1994-1997. I was soo addicted to LORD, it wasn't even funny. It was great to slaughter other players online.

I also didn't mind searching for some files here and there. PKunzip anybody?

Good Times that I really miss. Those days were the golden age of the internet :(

I remember using Telix, then switched over to Terminate! later because of all the features it had.

You could download every new game as soon as it came out (not that I would ever have done that ;) ).

I was surprised someone didn't mention that in the first couple posts. RnE was the most popular nationwide BBS for a long time. :D

I used to run a 2-line Wildcat! BBS for several years. Great old times.
