Put a democrat in to office and their 200+ year history will repeat it's self with out fail. No taxes for Rich, poor, middle class, or business. They all deserve lower taxes so America as a whole prospers. Lower taxes and the economy will take off. Raise taxes on anyone and the economy will recede and inflation could accelerate.

McCain-Palin will lower taxes.

White people, will soon be the minority.

Only if you break down ethnic groups by white/not white. That would of course be pretty insane.

People of African and Mexican descent are set to out number us. I fear the day when they may make us sit at the back of the bus. Or even worse...

But not too likely.

The TOP 5%- they are the economy stirrers. Give them money and they spend it on things like boats. The boat maker then hires large amounts of skilled people, those people then have money and spend it, employing other people, and so on.. Each one (man or business) paying a SMALL tax on the way.

Historically, time after time- the net result is trickled down. When ALL Citizens pay less percentage of income to the IRS, GDP rises, personal wealth for all grows, and government yields slightly more in revenue. It's a win-win.

All People prosper first and then government prospers. Don't let it be the other way around.

Besides, if we get McCain-Pain in there to cut most of the pork, there would be little need for higher taxes to begin with. I think Democrat Robert C. Byrd (the pork master) is shaking in his boots right now, as he fears the winds of Alaska blowing over D.C.

The president has little control over the price of oil and the economy was fine and breaking records before oil crept up to (around) $70-90 a barrel, higher taxes for corporations and US citizens big or small is just pouring salt on an open wound.

Just take a look at the Graphs. (Note: the effects of lower taxes are not 100% immediate).

There are other causes and effects, like poor banking decisions that explain the current situation and corporate collapse that play a roll in the economy. Raising the corporate tax rate that Obama favors, will only put more pressure on business to close their doors.

Neither the president or congress have much responsibility for banking or oil, except when it comes to taxes. It's the only thing (control) they have that has effects on the economy.

Higher Taxes = Higher Inflation

Not at all. The middle class has disposable income, but not like the ones who need it and worked the hardest for. It's really the top 5% that fund venture capital and start business and new industries. The entire technology sector that we all love would not have been born or at least not as good as it is, had it not been for the spare cash those top five percenteres had.

It is because of the top 5% that we enjoy a decent middle class lifestyle, they are our employers. Thank them, don't hurt them.

Do you really want more of the same broken promises and no record of strong meaningful actions or do you want people like McCain and Palin who have a proven track record of positive change?

I can see your perspective and agree to its principles, but not its application. Keep in mind that not giving tax cuts (or alternatively increasing taxes) to the top 5% does not necessarily translate to increased business activity. These people will continue to undertake new ventures and expand production as long as they are guaranteed a reasonable rate of return for the risk they bear. Thus, increasing taxes will reduce their expected return, but as long as this return exceeds their benchmark rate, they will continue to seek profit-making ventures.

There will be some effect no doubt, but the question naturally turns to whether any consequent business downturn exceeds the increased spending for the remaining 95% due to lower taxes (and higher discretionary income). I think it's reasonable to say that it would not. Furthermore, tax rates for the top 5% are ridiculously low compared to other countries and our budget deficit needs to be funded from somewhere so it is probably most just to fund it from the rich (ala the government becoming Robin Hood).

America has the second highest tax rate in the world.

I am not in the 5% club; but when I am, I will give you a call, offer you a decent well paid five figure position as my personal bench warmer. Should you elect a president whom as a result increases the tax load on my business and I am forced to make budget cuts, your job even though you were so good at it, unfortunately be the first that needs to go. You will be unemployed.

This is my promise, don't forget it. Some day you will be rewarded. :p

I'm sorry but you are just pushing trickle down economics which has been pretty badly discredited at this point.
