Pre-Built AMD Machines?

Who makes decent pre-built AMD machines that are customizable... like the ability to add a 6800?

I always build my own so no idea who out there makes good AMD Machines LOL.

And this surely isn't for me.

I would highly recommend a barebone system from mwave.com. Just choose your parts and for about $30 they will assemble and test everything for you. The only thing you need to install is pci/agp/HD/optical drives. Prices at mwave.com are very competitive and about the same as zipzoomfly and newegg.

For someone who really doesnt know how to add anything? I've seen some like Cyberpowersystem etc... and they seem ok, but I dont have much to compare to.

i totally recommend abspc.com.

They are quite lacking in video card selection, and seem quite a bit higher priced then cyberpowersystem.

🙂 U cant go wrong with cyberpower... i just configured last night an a64 3000+ system with 512mb Geil RAM and radeon 9200 (from many vid card selections...) Seagate hd, cd-r, dvd player for $600 shipping included. Thats way more than enough my DELL clueless friend needs.

I can put you something together 🙂

Anyways it may be best for you to go ahead and get a hp or something like that

It's not for me 🙂 My rig is in my profile, I have put together my own PCs for 10+ years.

Ibuypower is cyberpower from what I can tell. I will check out monarch.

Ibuypower blows.... my roommate's mom bought him one for 1400 bucks this fall. It consisted of an athlon xp2700, 512mb DDR333, and a radeon 9200 on a KT333 chipset. Not to mention it would bluescreen in Doom III and even in Winamp 😕

On a good note, they let him return most of the system (excluding monitor/printer/keyboard) for 800 bucks and I built him a new one 🙂
From that system shown, for the 800 dollars, he went to 1024meg DDR 400 dual channel on an nforce II ultra 400, XP mobile 2400 @2.2Ghz stock voltage, and a 6800 regular. Needless to say he's much happier with doom. 🙂
