I have a relative who is 11 months old. She has a tumor the size of a baseball on her liver. She is taking chemotherapy to shrink it and they are hoping they can shrink it enough to surgically remove it.

I donated a computer for the family to use at their home to keep in contact as they have a website set up to keep everyone informed of her current status. I also got a local ISP to donate a dialup account free of charge for as long as they need it so thats pretty cool.

Thanks!

here is a picture of her

Wow...I hope all turns out well. Out of curiosity, how do you treat an 11 month old with chemo?

Pretty much the same way you treat adults but with way lower doses, they are much more diluted... But chemo drugs are still injected through an IV.... Actually, since children are not fully grown and have rapidly reproducing cells (more so than an adult) the percentages of children with cancer of being treated and in remission is much higher than the percentages of adults.
