Prayers please

An older friend of mine was just taken (via ambulance) to the hopsital with severe back/shoulder pain. We're hoping it is just a muscle spasm or something relatively minor...but any and all prayers and good wishes would be much appreciated.

I'm living with them at the moment, and she was saying stuff to me like "Please take care of the animals" as if she wasn't going to make it..I'm sure she will, but please pray!

Update 5/12: They came back from the hospital around 1am -- it was muscle spasms & everything's fine now.

posting that whole study that points out that prayer doesn't help probably would be in bad taste, best of luck to you I hope it's nothing bad.

what else could it be?

Severely pulled/torn muscle. I've been on my knees unable to move from a badly pulled muscle before. I know it doesn't sound like it, but they can hurt like hell. Hopefully that's all it is and nothing more.

The husband was afraid it may have been a heart attack, but she still has feeling in her arm/hand and she wasn't cold/clammy, and had no trouble breathing...just severe pain. I'm no doctor, so I can't really say much else.

These people are old friends of mine - I've known them for what seems like forever...really hope she's alright..

She's confined to a bed/wheelchair...highly doubt it could be a pulled/torn muscle. I dunno -- I'll definitely update you all when we find out.

hope for the best

Was the back pain on the left side behind the heart? My father felt back pain before his heart attack in '98. He complained about it for days before the attack.....and the doctor never picked up on it.

I believe it was on the left side -- not sure how far down it was, though.
