Ok, I've been a bit sheltered and recently discovered the prank calls (cleo and arnold) on here and the web. They are hysterical and I want to set it up to do it to a few friends.
I understand how to hook up a phone control and tape recorder, but there must be another way that uses the soundboards. Are they using veritape or another recording proggy via the computer (obviously)?
I am curious how the sound from the soundboard gets to the person called. Are they simply holding a phone by a speaker? Or is there a method again via the computer?
Who knows exactly how to do this? I don't want to waste my time reinventing the wheel.
