Amazed ! Jaw on the floor, first rate service from this Company ! I'm just a end user like many of you here but the way Mushkin treats you it's like you're huge $$ account for them.

The other day a stick of thier memory ( 128 PC 133 Sem/Inf. ) failed on me after about a month after I bought it. I emailed asking how I would go about getting a " RMA " from them. Recieved a responce within a couple hours and in the same " 1st " responce email was told that they were overnighting it to me for next day delivery :) ! This is only the $79.00 doller stuff mind you. And this morning @ 9:00 am it's here ! WOW ! I've only bought 3 sticks in about 2 years from them and still get treated like this. Truly amazing service.

Their prices seem much higher than the other vendors. Check out pricewatch.com. This is obviously how they give extra good service. Somebody has to pay for it!

Yes, you pay for it AND IT'S WORTHWHILE.

IMHO, especially if you are going to buy high quality RAM, it's worth a little more to get a lifetime warranty from a reputable company.

Yes, it's more expensive than others but their customer service cannot be beat!

Mushkin is the best, by far.

Mushkin rocks.

Have u seen their post here?

Mushkin makes several diff grades of RAM. Their budget stuff is usually priced close to generic RAM.

Have to agree. I've watched and worked with Mushkin since they were just a small company and always had excellent service. Their prices are usually very good but what keeps me returning is their cs. It's one less place that I have worry about being dicked around over bad merchandise, lost shipping, returned merchandise and so on. Plus their techs actually seem to know what they're doing. I'll pay a bit extra for the peace of mind along with knowing that I can usually torture their stuff a bit more (oc'g) and it'll stand the pressure.

Mushkin has great service..
I typed in a wrong credit card number and I got a PERSONAL call from them twice. One to tell me it was wrong (I was not there) and a second one a few hours later to ask what they should do.
It was no hassle and actually quite pleasurable. Its worth the extra few bucks for the service.

I think your rolling the dice when you buy low-ball (read: cheap) RAM off of pricewatch.com or other similiar service. Usually, these cheap DIMMs are poorly built and/or assembled from crap components. Such poor quality invariably leads to stability and/or compatibility problems as well as degraded performance. Good PC100 RAM often out-performs poor PC133 ram. You get what you pay for...it has always been this way...it will always be this way.

While saying the above I'm not discrediting some of the awesome deals available on the net.

Mushkin makes the best memmory...period (IMO). They don't make every kind of memmory out there, but if they make it...there's is the best. Their track record has proven it again and again. For example: Mushkin PC133 Rev2 was tested to run 160 2-2-2 rock solid over six months ago !! (these numbers are, of course, system dependent) No other memmory from Crucial, Memman, Corsair came close to that. See their site for details.

And their customer service is the best of any company I can remember dealing with...I have never had a CS call picked up in two rings by a real person who knew what they were taking about anywhere but Mushkin. Their warranty/RMA issue handling is also first class. I had a friend who accidentally snapped a 256MB Rev2 DIMM in half (yah, we were crying)...he called Mushkin and the CS rep said something like, "well...it might have been partially damaged during shipping...will send you a replacement under warranty", ...and it arrived the next morning.

I have ordered from Mushkin on several occasions and always received top notch customer service. In fact, one thing I will never forget: less than 24 hours after receiving my first order from them, I got a phone call from their customer service people. They just wanted to make sure that I got what I ordered, was happy with it the product and the company, etc. I'm not sure if that's the norm for them or not but I'll tell you what: they made a believer out of me that day.

I bought two sticks on Friday. 128mb x 2 Very good service. The price had gone up while it was in my shopping cart. I called them up and they fixed it right away. It arrived on monday, and I had ordered it about 5 in the afternoon. I'll buy from them again.

Mushkin doesn't make the memory chips,
how good is the Mushkin memory module depends on the chips and pcb, and the process of soldering.

If every company was like Mushkin we wouldn't even need a site like Resellerratings!!!

I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars doing business with them and the only other people I know of that I would even put in the same league are Tony at Plycon and Russ at Compucheap. NONE of these three places have the best prices around but all of them have something that few places offer... DAMNED EXCELLENT customer service!

I've had Mushkin send me the WRONG RAM before... sending me stuff that was much more expensive than what I bought. Their solution? "We're sorry... if you can use it, keep it.. it's our mistake. If you can't use it, we'll do whatever we have to to make it good for you". If you ordered the amount of stuff I've ordered and run into bozo's like at KREX, where after they sent me a wrong item they were "kind enough" that they said that they wouldn't charge me a RESTOCKING FEE, but that I'd have to ship it back at my expense and no, they WOULD NOT cross ship... then you would understand that Mushkin darn near walks on water in this industry.

If they ever go public... I'm gonna buy every stock certificate I can get my hands on!

Joe

Bought my first stick of Mushkin the other day. Granted, it cost 33% more than I could have gotten a lower quality stick for, the service and quality are excellent. Free 2 day shipping to boot. I love their packing scheme too.

Hey KingofComputer...duh, duh, and tripple duh!!!

It took someone of your rare genius to enlighten us all to the that fact. Wow...that would explain why the DIMM's have those black things on them that says INFINEON, SAMSUNG or that little MOSEL symbol.

Thanks so very very...very very much!;):D

Another bump for what may be the best vendor on the net. They actually E-Mailed me after my purchase to make sure that I had received the proper ram and that I didn't have any installation problems. Nobody else has ever done that. I am almost ashamed to admit that I have since bought cheaper Kingston ValueRam due to rebate/free shipping concerns. If only mushkin would have warned me about their recent "lunchtime special" of budget PC-133 128 MB DIMMS for $44, I could have avoided the Kingston stuff. Unfortunately, I work so I missed it. :|
Anyway, Mushkin is awesome, I just wish they still put the pictures of their dog on their site. :)
Chuck
PS In defense of Kingston, Onvia and Outpost, the Kingston ram is in and is working fine, but I am concerned about the arrival of the alleged rebates.

Very pleased with my 256MB rev.2 module. Next day service Colorado to Toronto! US$199 was very competitive.
