Do a search on Google for AdAware.

It will remove all of those unwanted programs, and clean up your registry for you. :)

It may be set as a hidden file. Check your folder options settings and make all files visible.

I don't use XP so I'm just guessing here. Try My Computer>view>folder options>view and check "show all files".

Wanna bet? I've gotten spyware installed my system simply by visiting a particular web page. No prompts or anything.

oh, well hm i dunno about that then

about getting it off....

first, go through your start menu manually and delete anything out of it that looks bad.

second, go to windows explorer/my computer/whatever you do to get to your c: and start looking

third, go to regedit and delete entries that have weird names/something that looks like a pr0n company

fourth, make sure you check the boot files to see if it wrote itself to them

i see that you said its in msconfig, well i dont know how to get rid of that, but do what i just said and it will get rid of it, or 99% of it anyways (hopefully)

you could always format....

This is for what "MrDudeMan" said, about the REGEDIT entries.

Basically, you can go in your registry, and check out what programs are loading, that sometimes MIGHT not be in msconfig, or in your startup. I can almost guarantee that if it's in here, and you remove it, it'll fix your problem of LOADING. But you still need to find/clean it out.

Monitor Startup Programs through the Registry

Oh yeah, and you never PayPal'd me for "ButtBusters 7." :p

Ha ha, Kidding, relax. No biggie. You got ATOT to help you clean it up.
