PQI PC4000 DDR?

Okay, so i just bought the stuff for my new PC:
A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo
A64 3000+
Diamondmax 10 300GB HDD 16MB buffer
Vantec VAN-520A 24-pin PSU
2x512MB PQI PC4000

The PQI PC4000 was $180 on newegg, quite a bit cheaper than any other DDR500 i've seen from a decent brand. However, there were 2 versions. The one i got had latencies of 3-4-4-8. The other one was $50 more expensive, and has 2.5-4-4-8 or 2.5-3-3-8, i forget which. Reviews of the latter version were great, saying they can overclock to DDR560 and are very stable. However, i've found zero reviews of the lower end version. Has anyone used them? I'd like to have the ability to take the memory to faster speeds, like 533 and what not. Anyways, i guess i'll find out in a few days when my stuff comes in.
