Pqi 1gb ddr 3200 60$AR

**********nuthin to see here folks, this ship has sailed*******

Hope it helps 🙂

Pretty big deal to me. Been waiting for a good deal on a stick like this. There was one at Tigerdirect, but as soon as people started buying, they jacked the prices up.

Thanks!

Also: it says that this rebate is only good on products purchased between today and tommorow. Better jump on it.

BTW: you can do all of Frys rebates through onrebate.com, right?

Nice. This is a different offer from the last Outpost/PQI rebate so I (hopefully) should be good on both. This way I'll basically have a 2GB dual channel kit. BTW got to order by 11/9 for the rebate to be valid.

No you can't. Onrebate is just a rebate house like Parago, Young America, rebatestatus.com and others. It just depends which rebate house the Mfg. wants to handle it's rebates. PQI, AFAIK does their own rebates in-house. I've done a couple with them and the checks were actually signed and not stamped with a signiture if I remember correctly.

That's what I figured from the rebate mailing address, because it seemed to be the PQI address. Most "rebate houses" have standard addresses in Niagara or El Paso or somewhere in Arizona.

I had a Connect3D rebate that was actually in-house as well. Yep, a real business check.

Cool, still $20 cheaper than I would have paid for a 2x512 kit, just not as fast. Pretty good deal. Cheaper AR than that TigerDirect deal, and I hear they are bad on rebates too.

Good news for me also, figured out that I actually will have enough to get a Wii after all! I was a little worried after I bought this.

yup ,. in for one, will go great with the stick of kingston pc2700 1gb i got off somebody used for $35.00 thats runs pc3200 speed no problem, for 2gb at pc3200 for less than $100.00 spent.

NP, I sure know what it is to need more memory, Jax is getting old 😛

Just a heads up to all this is the last day for this deal, its certainly better than the one I jumped on

got one last month--not low latency (rated at 8/4/4/3, but ran 7/3/3/2.5 without problem), but pretty good deal for the price AR. RAM prices, esp "old fashioned" DDR's, have been high recently. Going for a second stick.

Also got in on last month's deal which I put into a Biostar/A64 3400+ Newegg combo deal. The ram works fine. So why not a second stick? Running Vista on that build, so 2 gigs can't hurt.

Thanks OP, I've been needing some more RAM.

I wonder why memory prices have jumped so much lately?

I am having a hard time jumping into the Core-Duo scene and having to buy high $ DDR2 memory. This will work great as stated before with the NewEgg - 3400+ Biostar combo!

😕

Requirement #1: Completed Original Rebate Certificate. What? It's a pdf I'm printing out so it's basically a copy. Is this Fry's way of getting out of the rebate?

No it's not. If this deal was going on at Fry's B&M, the cashiers would give you a copy of the rebate form and it's the same one they can print from the internet. I've seen them do it, when they ran out of copies. PQI rebates will take the full 12 weeks to arrive as stated on the form, but they will come.

It is unavailable now. I placed the order, and it went through, so I wonder if I still get the rebate since order was placed today. I am not in any hurry to get soon since i m in the process of building computer as cheap as I can.

So far $42 for Nforce4 - Ultra from geeks.com
$49 for Solo Antec Case from Frys.com - after the rebate of $30
$59 for Gig Memory if the order goes through from Frys.com - after the rebate of $40
$29 harddrive from Staples Sale 200 Gig
$149 for Samsung 21in 215tw monitor - after the rebate of $130

Just got mine. Very surprised it was at my doorstep, along with all the other parts I need to build my computer.

RAM wasnt supposed to show up until Tuesday, and all other parts werent supposed to show up until Monday. Must be my lucky day!

Will post back about how my build goes with this ram, although I dont think there will be anything eventful happening.

WHY OH WHY IS IT DEAD!!! :brokenheart: 🙁

not to worry, OP has been offering rebate deals on this RAM on and off. Just check back frequently--I'm sure it will come up again.

I'm sure it will come up again.

Thats what I was hoping for too .. I got one stick, but I really wanted to order two .. so I hope to see the rebate extended soon and then I can get a matching stick to pair them up.

Not only is the deal dead, but so is the RAM. 🙁 I got two identical sticks from this deal plus the previous one, and the previous one works fine but this one fails Memtest at stock speeds and latencies (3-4-4-8).

Hmmm, should I mail in the rebate anyways and RMA to PQI since (assuming rebate comes through) the RAM is dirt cheap, or should I RMA back to Outpost?

I got mine today. Added to the previous stick I got during the earlier rebate offer. Both worked fine. Now have 2 gigs.

As to what to do if you got a bad stick, if you send back a bad stick for replacement be sure to get the new stick before november 25 which is deadline for submitting the rebate form. Otherwise might be better to go for the rebate and get rma from PQI.

I think I'll just do that... return to manufacturer, since price was so good. Bleh, hate DOA hardware.
