i was checking out Outpost.com and saw that this has been reduced in price.

$19.99-$10(rebate)= 9.99 + s/h

the rebate expires tommorrow though...

is this pqi stuff garbage?

actually, no, i have one of these and it rocks. very small and lite, easy to carry with you anywhere. even has some internal ram (8mb? i forget) for storing the drivers if you aren't plugging into a winXP box (the ram is recognized right away, but to get to the card slots you have to install the drivers in win98/2K). only downside is it's not USB2.0, which is probably why they are selling it - i believe they've got a 2.0 version coming out soon. if that doesn't bother you, tho, go for it!

But it came as 5.95 as I was checking out.
Then I called them to fix it.

It's through Tuesday. I bought one from the Burbank Fry's. The item was priced $39.99 on the shelf.

Be VERY careful about ordering this. The rebate must be MAILED by Feb 4th...hardly enough time if you have to wait for shipping. Another of Fry's screwy rebates...they are PIGS.
