PPTP VPN in linux

Crusty

Lifer
I am trying to connect to a Watchguard Firebox 700/III using pptp in linux.

I can establish the connection just fine to the remote end, but as soon as I do I lose all the network connectivity on my box.

Once I have the connection going I am going to be opening up a RDP session to a Terminal Server.

The only IP I can ping is the public IP of the Firewall(64.69.XXX.XXX)

I know it's not a configuration with the firewall because I can connect just fine in Windows.

The 192.x.x.x network is my lcoal network here
The 169.169.125.x network is the local network where I am trying to connect(don't get me started on the choice of IP's, yes it's a private network)

Any suggestions?

What pptp software are you using?
For me, I've tried pptpconfig and pptp-linux (now PPTP Client), and only pptpconfig has worked. I installed it according to the instructions on their web site, and set the frontend to resolve DNS automatically.
