Ok I got a new network card that mandrake supports and now am trying to set up DSL.
At the config screen I put in:
Provider:earthlink.net
provider dns1:IP I got pinging earthlink.net
provider dns2:blank
username:bryce777
password assword
password confirm assword
AM I using wrong provider DNS or something? My network card, an SMC EZ, seems to be recognized properly and I have no trouble using DSL over Win2k.
when it tests connection sits there like 2 minutes then says I don't seem to be connected to the internet.
Thanks for any advice!
An update is that I tried the two DNS servers from the nfslookup and I still get no connection.
