PPPoE and XP

I want to have my internet connection (PPPoE) to start with the computer, when I was with 98, I just put the link in the start folder and there was no problem. With XP, this does not work. I am sure there is a very simple way of doing this, I just cant seem to figure it out. Does anyone know how I can do this?

I got this from somewhere else.

If you want your computer to automatically connect to the internet when you start windows just follow these simple steps:
1-Go to ALL Your Connections
2-Right click the connection you want to be started automatically each time your machine starts
3-Uncheck 'Prompt for name and password certificate ect'.
4-Check 'Redial if line is droped'
5-Create a shortcut of that connection in your desktop
6-Right click on it select Copy
7-Right click on Start Menu select EXPLORE the go to Programs then go to STARTUP folder.
8- Click an empty space on that folder and right click then select 'PASTE'.

That's it Windows will automatically start your connection either DSL or DialUp or whatever and best of all, no need to do changes in the registry or anything like that.
