I am planning on setting up my father's webserver for him and I do not know enough about PPPOA to proceed. His network consists of the DSL modem, a DLINK-614 wireless router, and several workstations plus the server. Now, I've tried setting up Apache (the win32 version, all his machines have licensed windows copies and he does not know any other system well enough to proceed under linux or BSD) behind the router with port forwarding and the DMZ set up in every possible configuration and it just would not work.

I was thinking of putting the server between the modem and the router, put two nics in it and have it bridged or run ICS. My Question is would this work? Could I run the DSL connection into the machine on one nic without using the god awful MSN software and then run DHCP/NAT off the other and actually have to router work for the rest of the network? I've done this with PPPOE before because XP natively supports it, but I don't know how it will treat PPPOA. What would be my best option to proceed?
