ppga cpu incompatable w/fcpga mobo?

tossed a 500mhz cellery ppga onto to Fic fa15t motherboard, and got nothing, no post , no beeps, NOTHING. Switched back to old mobo and it's back to normal. Only thing I can think of is it's an old cellery, not the newer fcpga version. Does that make a differnce?

Yea it does. Some of the connections are different between the PPGA and FCPGA cores. Usually it's the other way around though, putting a newer FCPGA cpu in an older PPGA or Slot1 board. That's easily solved with a Slocket adapter. But either way , the other way around won't work.

That is weird though, there web site says that it supports fcpga celleys from 433-700 then from 800-1ghz, but celleys weren't fcpga until 533. But now where on there site could I find it said it supported it. Maybe they ment 533 who knows.

Thanks for the help guys.
Think I got it figured out.
A 500 mhz cellery needs 2.0v, while a 533mhz fcppga requires only1.5v.
Infact, a fcppga doesn't require 2.0v at all at any mhz.
