Ok I know I can get the VID pin layouts at the Intel site (I've seen the PIII and Celeron 2 layouts) and I assume that those pins must be in the same spot on a PPGA chip
Buttttt, I'm confused about what the meaning of GROUND and OPEN is.
I need to change the voltage on a PPGA celeron (default: 2.0v). If I look at the spec that says say, for example, that to achieve 2.0v you must have VID1 ground, VID2 open, VID3 ground, VID4 open, does that mean that VID1 and VID3 are connected to the VSS pin? So, if I want to achieve 2.2v, and it requires that VID1 ground, VID2 ground, VID3 ground, and VID4 open, the ONLY adjustment I need to make it to connect VID2 to VSS?
The above VID statements are just as examples, not the actual settings....those I will need to look up. <B>
