Powerstrip??

OK- I just got a 9700 Pro and want to OC it a little. I'm a regular nvidia guy, so coolbits ain't gonna work here. I looked around and have seen most recommend powerstrip. Just a question here:

the only powerstrip I find is free for 30 days, then somewhere around $30 to buy. I don't want to buy a OC utility- and I'm not looking for a crack code, but just wondered what would happen if I DL the free trial and use it for the 30 days- does it uninstall itself?? would my oc stay active if it uninstalled?? I'm a little lost on this powerstrip thing. TIA.

Instead of PowerStrip, I recommend RadClocker. Sorta like Coolbits, it adds a "Clock Rate" tab to the video card properties. You can download it here: http://www28.brinkster.com/chrisww1942/

I saw that also. Might give it a try. I had just seen in most reviews that they OC with powerstrip.

Power Stripe is a great program but its just simply too annoying. It pops up a window you have to close everytime you start your computer....But you can only close it after 30 seconds has passed. You can use it past 30 days but that window never goes away stick with the other guy above and use Radclocker. Or just use the omega drivers it has a built in radclocker overclock installed with drivers.
